Beatitudes (04): Blessed Are Those Who Hunger and Thirst for RighteousnessIn this episode, we continue our series on the Beatitudes with Matthew 5:6 - "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." We ask an honest question: what are you truly hungry for? The world's fountains promise satisfaction but never deliver. Jesus offers something different: "Whoever comes to me will never go hungry."
- Blessed 03_Meek Matt_5:3
The third sermon in a series on the Beatitudes, exploring Matthew 5:5 - "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." Meekness is often mistaken for weakness, but the Bible presents it as strength under control - power held for others rather than for self. Drawing on the examples of Joseph and ultimately Jesus Christ, this message explores how true meekness flows from security before God and security with ourselves, freeing us from the need for self-protection and self-promotion.
- Blessed 02_Mourn Matt_5:4
Beatitudes (2) - Blessed are those who mourn (Matthew 5:4)A searching word for anyone willing to receive it: are we facing our sin honestly, or brushing past it? This message explores what it means to mourn over sin - and to rest in the truth that we are both sinners and fully forgiven in Christ.
- Blessed 01_Poor in Spirit_Matt 5:3
Beatitudes (1) - Blessed are the Poor in Spirit (Matthew 5:3)To be poor in spirit is to come to God with nothing to offer but our need for him - no self-reliance, no credentials, just complete dependence on his mercy. This message opens our series on the Beatitudes with a look at what it means to truly depend on God.
